Guest blog by Barbara Ayton – Christmas Light

by | Dec 10, 2012 | , | Guest Blogs | 8 comments

This week I would like to feature the poetry of a fellow writer and friend, Barbara Ayton. She joined our writer’s club a few years ago and it’s been a pleasure getting to know her. Her sweet, quiet spirit quickly captured our group. Thank you Barbara for sharing your poems with us.

Can you tell Barbara how much you enjoyed her Christmas poem by sharing in the comment section? Thanks!

It’s Christmas time and all around

A treasury of light is found

The brilliance of the shimmering snow

The softness of a candle’s glow.

The streets have been transformed with light

And evergreens – a shining sight

The lights in eyes of little ones

Is treasured for the years to come.

Yet, still the most amazing light

Came from above one starlit night

As angels set the sky aglow

The Light was born for all to know.
