Today is a different type of post since I’ve been in Colorado Springs at the Writing for the Soul Conference hosted at the amazing Broadmoor for the past few days. I reconnected with a lot of friends and made new ones. Love that.

I wanted to give you some quotes that stood out to me during these past few days plus post some pictures. Enjoy!

We had awesome teaching from James MacDonald. Loved this, “Circumstances allowed by God are to help develop your character.” So true!

Beautiful Broadmoor!

DiAnn DarleneDiAnn Mills is my mentor and friend. She’s such a wonderful cheerleader to me! I continue to learn a great deal from her. DiAnn, you’re the best!

It’s always great to see Jerry B. Jenkins! He has such a humble heart.

Had amazing sessions with Steven James – best-selling author of the Bowers Files thriller series. The thing he drilled into us was “story trumps structure”! Yeah, so glad to hear that. 🙂 He spoke as a keynote speaker Saturday night. He’s such a great storyteller. Have to say (and I told him this), I was a bit star-struck since he’s one of my favorite authors!!!

Liz Curtis Higgs is a wonderful speaker. She grabs you from the very beginning and doesn’t let go. She’s so funny and had us in stitches. One quote that stuck out to me was “God’s not done with your story.” Loved that. Such an encouragement!

Have to end with talking about the Director of Christian Writers Guild, Janice Mitchell. She’s such a delightful person and does a wonderful job. Thanks Janice for all your support and for inviting me to sit at your table!

I would like to end with a quote by Doc Hensley. This applies to all of us!

“Whatever your calling–you can do it!”
