This week has been a scorcher. Every day we were greeted with a wall of heat. It’s been that hard-to-breath, pour-water-over-your-head, kind of heat. We just couldn’t find relief. No end in sight.
Ever have days or maybe weeks where you find yourself in a funk? You just can’t seem to shake it. No matter what you do. Every situation and everyone around you sets you off? Could be the smallest thing. A simple word said by a friend, loved one, co-worker, etc.
Why do we get worked up about the little things in life? We need to run to God and let His love wash over us.
Remember when we were kids, running through the sprinkler on a hot summer day? How about we do the same thing when we’re faced with days of frustration? Run through God’s sprinkler. Let His waterfall of peace wash over us.
Soak in it. He has enough love for all of us. His grace covers us.
Run wild.
Stay under His waterfall.
It’s the only place we’ll find lasting release.
How do you find relief from the craziness of this life? Do you run to His waterfall?
Psalm 42:7 (NIV)
Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
Waterfall (by Chris Tomlin)
Listen to the words and let Him lead you to the streams of mercy.
