Every day we’re bombarded with bad news. You only need to turn on the TV or radio and you’ll hear there’s been another dreaded shooting or even this week there was a bombing in Ontario. Just today I heard of a murder in my own town. Too close to home.

Or we hear of a friend getting diagnosed with cancer, a loved one has passed suddenly, or another failed marriage. We see the homeless struggling to survive on the streets.

We hear of the hatred threatening to start another war all over the world.

When will it stop?

But then we get a ray of hope. Someone has stepped up to help the homeless, rebuild a city devastated by an earthquake, or raise funds when tragedy has struck.

Why?

It’s the power of love. Hatred is consuming all around us, but love will always win out. Always triumph.

God’s love in His people will stand the test of time.
