Hidden in Amish Country by Dana R. Lynn

Englischer Sadie Standings is thrust into a mystery after her car crashes and she suffers from memory loss due to head trauma. Her brother visits her in the hospital, but can she trust what he says when she can’t even remember him? Plus, an Amish man shows up stating he saw the crash and it appears that it wasn’t an accident. Someone was trying to kill her. Her brother feels it’s his fault and that she’s in danger. He suggests she hide in Amish country with his friend Ben Mast, the Amish widower, while he works on finding out the truth.

Ben Mast and his son witness a horrific crash and feel obligated to check on the woman involved, but he gets more than he bargains for when he finds out the best place for her right now is with him at his Amish home. This goes against everything in his belief system, so how can he keep her safe and make it work?

As Sadie begins to regain her memory, she discovers there’s more to her past than she first realized. This puts them all in danger and they find themselves on the run. Can they figure out the truth of Sadie’s past, stay alive, and admit their growing feelings for one another before it’s too late?

Dana R. Lynn does it again with this suspenseful novel, Hidden in Amish Country. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happens to these loveable characters. I loved this book and can’t wait to see more from this author.

The plot is riveting and the twists in the storyline were a nice surprise. The emotion and sensory details in this novel are amazing. I could picture the Amish community and their horse and buggies trotting along the road. Loved the use of a storm to intensify the suspense. Well done.

The characters are well developed and likable. I liked that the author brought in characters from past books.

I give Hidden in Amish Country five stars. It’s one mystery you’ll want to dive into beside a cozy fire!
