When I was little you couldn’t get my nose out of a Nancy Drew book! I loved to get lost in a mystery with my favorite teenage detective. I remember my mom calling me to do my chores and I would say, “Just one more chapter.” To which she would reply, “Darlene, close that book. Now!” 🙂
I still love to get buried in a good novel (whether it’s a physical book or an e-book!). It’s one of my favorite things to do. There’s nothing like getting caught up in the plot, characters, and trying to figure out what will happen next.
Books create awesome memories.

I so remember this Sissy as children you always reading and me being the total opposite…wanted to watch Happy Days (The Fonz was my hero) or listen to music as I was not fond of reading. Who would of thought these childhood moments would be the beginnings of you becoming an Author/writer. SO PROUD of you Sissy!!!!

Nancy Drew was my favourite too! Now it’s really hard to pick. For historical romance it would be Mimi Matthews and Tamera Alexander. For contemporary it would have to be Becky Wade and Courtney Walsh.

I was a “bookworm” too, with my nose always in a book. I remember my mom saying the same thing. Most mom’s nowadays would LOVE it if their kids had their noses in a book all day long!

When I was a young girl, I enjoyed reading The Boxcar Children and The Happy Hollisters. As a teen, a nice friend of my parents shared a book by Grace Livingston Hill. I loved the story so much that I began collecting all stories by Grace Livingston Hill. Still love reading her stories over and over. 🙂
