Did you ever think spring would arrive? Wow…it sure took its time this year, didn’t it? Winter had us in an unending vice-grip, that’s for sure. Spring is about a month behind. The buds are just beginning to peek their heads out on the dormant branches of the trees around us.

But…it’s here. Finally!

Every season has its ups and downs. Likes and dislikes. For example…I hate the dirt and garbage winter has left behind (and the smell!). The items forgotten under the mounds of snow. Can you say, clean up time?

However, spring is also a time of renewal. New life pops up everywhere. I love that! A fresh start. Time to start over. Plant the garden.

Perhaps it’s also a time to look inward. What part of our lives do we need to clean up? Start anew?

Where can we blossom this season?

Think about it. I’m going to.

Don’t you just love this piece? The design is by Jamie Mills-Price. Seasons of Time–it has four panels to it and I will feature one each season.

I fell in love with this design the first time I saw it. Can you guess why? Yes, the quilt reminded me of my precious Mama. She loved quilting. Her fingers pieced together many blocks of fabrics and wove them into beautiful quilts. Many of you have one to prove it!

Time to get working on the one for summer!

What part of spring could you do without? What do you love about it? Do you have anything to “clean” up? Share with us.

Psalm 51:2 (NIV)

Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

I like the warm temperatures coming back. Unfortunately, here in Texas, spring can be short-lived as the heat starts to push its way in. I’ve learned to treasure each spring day as it comes and not fret over the heat to follow all too soon.

Hey Henry! Yes, I’m sure you’d love a longer spring. I hear your Texas summers can be brutal. Thanks for stopping by. Happy spring! 🙂

I love the paintings, Darlene. Do you sell them? They look like such fun! As for my writing…I plan to be a little more serious and get my blog redesigned. I’ve prayed about direction for it and have finally come up with a purpose and a theme. I’ll let you know when it’s ready.

Hi Loretta! Yes, I do sell my paintings. This particular piece I’m painting for myself. 🙂 Good for you for getting back to your blog. I’m also planning on a redesign soon. We’re always working at changing it up, aren’t we?! Thanks for stopping by.

We have skipped spring here in Alberta and now moving directly into summer, trees are budding, farmers getting out into the fields and we have some very confused Robins after the weekend snowstorm…
