From My Playlist – Breathe

We live busy lives. Our jobs are busier, our children are involved in more events, we’re asked to help out at church in the next big event, we take on a second job to help pay the bills—the list goes on.

When will it end?

We pick up the pace to keep up with our neighbours. Or we work overtime to prove we can make it at that other position, but we fail to see how we’re taking away from precious family time. We push and push just to get a little bit further.

Will we burn ourselves out before we learn to stop? Our bodies aren’t meant for this rushed life. The stress from it all has us wound so tightly, we could explode at any moment. Chances are we’ll come undone at the worst possible time with the ones we love.

We need to stop.

rest

Now.

Breathe. Take time for yourself and your family. Put aside all the busyness of this life and breathe.

Turn off the chaos.

And just be.

Fall at His feet.

Turn to Him and let Him fill you with rest.

Matthew 11:28 (VOICE)

Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Breathe by Jonny Diaz

My friend and mentor DiAnn Mills introduced me to this amazing song. I love the words, the beat, and the powerful message. We need to stop and just breathe. Listen and be blessed.
