Award-winning Publishers Weekly Best-selling Author

The Shadow By Kimberly Rae

Meagan Winston fights human trafficking by helping to save girls on her trips to India. It’s an outreach of her job at Rahab’s Rope. Little does she know drugs have also made the trips and she’s soon targeted by the FBI as a possible suspect. She’s the common denominator and they’ve pulled her in for questioning.

Former Marine, Cole Fleming, is brought in by the FBI to help out with the case and begins to tail the beautiful Meagan. He quickly realizes she has a stalker. Who could be following her and why? And can he believe in Megan’s innocence?

Forced to work together in discovering the real drug smuggler, Meagan and Cole struggle with their growing feelings for each other. Can they solve the case and catch the stalker before he captures Meagan?

The Shadow had me from the page one! I loved the premise for this book and the plot kept me turning the pages. The mystery behind the smuggler and stalker had me glued. Really enjoyed how it unfolded.

The characters pop out off the page and you find yourself cheering on Meagan and Cole. I cringed every time the stalker got too close. Well-crafted characters.

Using the real-life organization of Rahab’s Rope was a nice touch. It brought you into the middle of the human trafficking problems and reality to the situation.

I also really enjoyed the small chapters. They kept my attention and I found myself pushing forward after each one to see what would happen next.

Kimberly Rae is a new author to me and I must admit I’m now a fan. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I give The Shadow five stars. It’s one mystery you’ll want to dive into and solve.

I haven’t read any of Kimberly’s books, but they sound interesting. Mysteries are fun to read, but if they are too “spooky” I can’t read them before bedtime. LOL!
