Amish midwife Lizzy Miller is on her way to deliver a baby, but her driver makes a stop that gets him killed and Lizzy witnesses the whole thing. She’s now on the run and must rely on an Englisch police officer to keep her safe. This goes against everything she believes in.

Isaac Yoder has left his Amish life behind after he vowed to right the wrong of his brother’s death. However, he finds himself thrust back into that life when he promises to protect the beautiful Lizzy Miller. After numerous attempts on her life, he hides her in his childhood home and reunites with his sister and mother.

Can Lizzy and Isaac stay hidden long enough to catch the killer? Will they figure out their feelings for each other before it’s too late?

This romantic suspense novel by Dana R. Lynn will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens to these loveable characters. I loved this book and can’t wait to see more from this author.

The setting is a mix of Amish and Englischer lives and is brought together nicely. The use of the senses brings the story to life. Well done.

The characters are well developed and likable. You feel yourself cheering them on as they race against the clock. I liked that the author brought in characters from past books.

The plot keeps you guessing and glued to the pages. The twist at the end will shock the reader!

I give Guarding the Amish Midwife five stars. It’s a suspenseful ride you’ll want to get on!
