Fatal Strike by DiAnn Mills
FBI Agents Leah Riesel and Jon Colbert team up to stop a ruthless gang from claiming more victims in Galveston, Texas. Cause of death? Fatal injections of snake venom. Their investigation takes them in circles as those close to the victims are keeping secrets, so how can they get to the truth?
Leah and Jon must each face their deepest fears before this case is solved. Can they do that and also trust in God as well as their growing feelings for one another?
DiAnn Mills does it again! This riveting tale is impeccably woven and leaves the reader breathless. She is a masterful storyteller and this new release is no exception. It grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let me go until I finished it. What’s her secret?
Cleverly crafted plot twists, well-rounded characters that jump off the page and into our hearts, vivid imagery, and deep POV, inserting you into the scene as if you were filming it. Her use of words and sentence structure is every writer’s dream.
The characterization in this book is superb. I fell in love with both Leah and Jon.
The tension and conflict in this story were well placed. Just when you think they were safe, wham! Something else happens. This puts the reader right into the story, holding their breath. The author’s use of sensory is done effectively. It brings the words on the page to life.
The faith aspects in the storyline are well done and realistic. The romance between the two characters was an added bonus to the novel!
I give Fatal Strike five stars. It’s one story I guarantee you’ll sink your teeth into!
