Songs from the Heart – Jesus Messiah

Have you ever had weeks where everything went wrong? You questioned God. Why wasn’t He moving in ways we wanted Him to move? You’re tired of waiting on His plan and start questioning why.

Sound familiar?

I know we’ve all been there at different times in our lives. I know I have. Then, I’m reminded about how I should be meditating on Jesus. How had I gotten too caught up in my troubles and forgotten about simply resting in His arms?

Oh man, I’ve failed. Sure, I do my devotions and pray every day, but how many times have they just become too repetitive and ritualistic? Way too often.

We need to devour His word and meditate on Jesus. (Click to tweet) Not just a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of meditation and study, but one where you sit and take time WITH Him and not just read about Him.

I’m the first to admit I’ve failed in this area.

I need to reflect on Him and His name alone. Look at these: Jesus, Savior, Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel, Messiah. What does that mean? He died for us. Shed His blood to save us from our sins. Took the weight of every human’s wrongs on His shoulders and went to the cross.

His love is so amazing. How can I not meditate on Him and wait upon His perfect plan? He knows what’s best for me. Shame on me for not trusting.

I will put my hope in Him. What about you?

Let’s praise the name of Jesus the Messiah!

2 Corinthians 5:21 (VOICE)

He orchestrated this: the Anointed One, who had never experienced sin, became sin for us so that in Him we might embody the very righteousness of God.

This is a familiar song, but sit back and listen to the words. His love is SO amazing!
