From This Moment
By Elizabeth Camden
Romulus White has his eyes set on a prize that will bring his magazine, Scientific World, to new heights. If only that prize would agree to his proposal.
Stella West, world-renowned illustrator, travels to Boston for one reason only. To see her sister’s killers brought to justice, so when Romulus White’s continuous badgering to bring her on board resurfaces, she turns him down. Her covert investigation at City Hall, walking in her sister’s footsteps, remains her only focus.
However, after a strange turn of events, she’s left with no other choice than to lean on the handsome Mr. White for help. His request? That she illustrate a series of advertisements for him.
As they begin to work together, their attraction to each other grows even though Romulus is sworn to remain a bachelor until age forty. Can they solve the mysterious circumstances surrounding Stella’s sister death and the growing issues at Scientific World before everything comes crumbling down on them?
This is the first novel I’ve read by Elizabeth Camden, and I must say, she has a new fan. I enjoyed From This Moment. I loved each of the characters. They were loveable but yet flawed. There were moments when I want to throttle both Romulus and Stella!
Although there were times when I felt there was too much detail and I found myself skimming, the storyline kept my interest. I wanted to know who was behind Stella’s sister death and the misfortunes at the magazine. The twists kept me guessing.
The Boston setting was spectacular! I could picture everything perfectly. Ms. Camden did a superb job of putting the reader in the cobblestone streets. The research put into this book was evident.
I give From This Moment four sketchpads. It’s a masterpiece you’ll want to be drawn into!
