What can be more precious than sisters? Someone you can laugh, cry, and yes, even fight with. This movie has it all. The modern retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel Little Women tells the story of Jo, Amy, Beth, and Meg. Four sisters with an unbreakable bond but one not without heartache. It details their lives from childhood to becoming women of strength.
I have to admit that I did not see the original version of this movie, but I enjoyed this one. The story had everything—joy, sadness, anger, humor. A great combination. Powerful acting by all the actors. It made me laugh and cry. I loved each of the characters in their own way. They added variety to the movie.
While at first, I found the jumping around in time a bit confusing, I caught on quickly. The storyline had me glued to see what would happen next and I wasn’t disappointed. I got caught up in each of their lives, wanting to know more.
It was a great clean movie that could be watched by the entire family. Definitely, one that women of any age would enjoy.
I give Little Women four out of five stars. Go see this movie. It will warm your heart.
