I was privileged to attend the JUNOFest 2019 Christian Artist Showcase on Friday, March 15th. The event was sponsored by Compassion Canada and was a great evening!

The evening began with all of us partaking in worship directed by the London-based band – We Are Worshippers. They comprise of singers and musicians from different churches across the city of London. Amazing talent!

Next up Drew Brown took the stage and led us in more worship songs. Drew is an artist from Milton, Ontario and his song We Belong resonated with the crowd. Check out his music here:

Brian Doerkson closed out the Music and Meaning evening by singing some familiar worship songs. He spoke about how he “lost his words” for five years and couldn’t write. He called it his “long winter of the Soul” period. Finally, the song If Jesus is the Face of God came to his heart. Listen to this powerful song. We can see love in Jesus’ face. Love this.

His newest album, Grateful, was up for a Juno award. God has given Brian powerful songs!
