Minutes to Die by Susan Sleeman
FBI Agent Kiley Dawson is tipped off about a possible terrorist attack happening on 9/11 and is thrust in a deadly hunt to find those responsible before the threat is unleashed.
ICE Agent Evan Bowers is tasked with a covert operation to determine if a shipping container holds a deadly terrorist plot on US soil. What his teams discovers will instantly put him on a team to bring down the plot. The problem? The team leader is the woman who blames him for her partner’s death.
Kiley and Evan race against time to find the intended target while fighting their growing feelings for each other. Can they work together long enough to catch the terrorists responsible and stop the death of millions?
Susan Sleeman does it again with the second book in the Homeland Heroes series. Minutes to Die caught my attention from the first sentence and kept me turning the pages to unfold the terrorist plot. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see more from this author.
The tension and conflict in this story were well placed. This puts the reader right into the story, holding their breath. The author’s use of sensory is done effectively. It brings the words on the page to life.
The research the author has done for this book is superb! We learn a lot about the different agencies that have to work together to catch the terrorists. Well done!
Can’t wait for book three of this Homeland Heroes Series. Hours to Kill releases in March 2021. I’m looking forward to Addison and Mack’s story!
I give Minutes to Die five stars. The story will keep the reader guessing to determine the plot along with the characters.
